I am attaching a photo of the orphanage I visited and we support. It is always amazing to me how the special needs are always clean, fed, and happy. The workers here do an outstanding job with very little resources.
I am starting my home today, so this will probably be my last entry. Thanks for you interest and checking us out!

China is growing an an amazing pace. Everywhere you look in the cities you see old buildings with only a few floors being torn down, and new tall buildings going up in their place. Cranes are everywhere! The dust caused by the demolition and construction is amazing. Obviously, the air quality isn’t very good! I am attaching a picture of a new construction site close to my apartment. The dug out area is for parking. Most of the new construction are at least 4 times as deep as this one.

Have a great week!
Today I am attaching a picture of a Pizza Party we gave the students. We had a wide variety of pizzas, trying to make sure everyone found something they liked. Additionally, we had celery and carrots with dip, peanuts, brownies, and cokes. Everyone pigged out big time, and the students seemed to enjoy the event very much. Maybe we should start doing it every week!
Have a great week!

Today I am sending a picture of a couple of the students from my business class. They work for a company called Areva. It is a company based in France, and they have offices around he world. They are in the energy industry, and they specialize in manufacturing transformers of any size. Their English level is higher than my other classes.

Have a great weekend!
Today I am attaching a picture of some of my students. I teach different classes, so their English levels vary. The lady in the white shirt on the right is a nurse, and she would like to work in America. The lady in the middle in the pink shirt actually got a job working in our office. I also taught her in 2006. The lady in the green and white striped shirt is going to move to Canada in the near future. She is a wonderful and generous lady.

Have a great day!
This is my Tibetan roommate Scott. His Tibetan name is Aatsup Dondrup Nyima, which means achievement of the sun. He is 30 years old, and his hometown is Tonkhor, Tibet, where he and his family are nomadic yak herders near the Yellow River. His favorite pastimes are to ride a horse or a motorcycle through the grasslands of Tibet.

Have a great week!
This picture will conclude the tour of the area around my language school. The aquatic center is very popular with the children. In my time in China, I have been surprised by how many people tell me that they don’t know how to swim. Actually, today feels like it would be a good day for a refreshing swim!
Hopefully all of you will have a great weekend!

Today I am sending a picture of the library that is beside my school. If you think the library looks funny, it is because that really is grass growing on it. This is a nice facility, and it even has a cafeteria in it. The library caters to education, as do many of the building in this area.

Have a great week!
Today I am attaching a picture of the Exhibition Center, which is right beside the building where I teach. This will house all types of events from house remodeling to education opportunities. It is in the middle of the Science Center, our classrooms, the Library, and the Aquatic Center. Also, there are a couple of really nice hotel and a bank just down the street.
I wish you were here to enjoy it with me!

The area where I teach is designed for education. There are many facilities for Children and education all in the same area. I am attaching a picture of the building in which I teach. The front end has a nice 3D movie area in it and is a science museum.
Thanks for checking this out!
