Today I have fantastic news to share with you! One of the orphanages we support in India is called The Baby Factory, because they only work with very young babies. This orphanage is spotless, and is well run by my friend, LuLu. This orphanage is very fortunate to have not only good workers to run it but to also have a higher worker to child ratio. This allows the orphanage to give care to these very young children as some of them also have health problems. LuLu has been successful in having some of these babies adopted internationally, but today I am thrilled to tell you that they just had three babies adopted domestically all at the same time!

LuLu is pictured on the right side of the photo with the new families of the three babies who were just adopted. Through your support these children have just gone from being abandoned by their parents, to having a nice family to provide them with love and a forever home!

There are more wonderful stories to share with you from India. Perhaps you saw on the news recently that there was a horrible railroad accident in India. An overcrowded train was parked on the railroad tracks and was tragically hit by another train that was traveling along the same rail. This caused some of the cars from the parked train to derail. This accident was caused by either a mechanical issue or human error, but the situation got worse.

Another passenger train on another track hit some of the cars that derailed from the earlier accident, causing even more deaths, injuries, destruction, and chaos. The good news in all of this is how our partners in India responded. With our partners being in close proximity to the train accident, they were able to jump into action to assist those who were in need.

Our partners, Kuni and Biswajit Pani, became even closer to this tragedy once they found out that their son was on a train that should have gone through that same signal crossing 15 minutes before the accident For some unknown reason, his train changed tracks and avoided that area. Kuni and Biswajit went to the overwhelmed hospital in the area to help as much as they could. They tried to comfort people, give them Bibles, give new clothes, and pray for them. Here are some photos of this catastrophic event in India. Through your support, children are being adopted, and needs are being met for people that can’t provide for themselves!
