This month I am excited to share with you about our largest project of the year! A few months ago, I received a message from our partner in India telling me that there was a horrible heat wave hitting the area where we built the facility to house the homeless widows with health problems. That day it was 111 degrees, and the power grid could not handle the demands placed on it, so they didn’t have electricity. Without power, the ladies couldn’t run a fan! I have been there when it was 104 degrees, and the heat and humidity were oppressive, so I can’t imagine what it would be like at 111 degrees.

Our partner asked if we would provide solar air conditioning for these ladies living at the facility. Their need for air conditioning is profound, particularly in this rural area with limited infrastructure and frequent blackouts. By implementing solar-powered systems, we can ensure these ladies no longer endure discomfort due to extreme heat, safeguarding their health and well-being.

These widows, each bearing the weight of health struggles, have weathered the storms of homelessness, all beyond the age of 60, left with no means to sustain themselves. I humbly ask you to consider extending your support to Global Partners in Life, offering a lifeline to create a haven where these resilient souls can find solace, health, and security. Your compassionate contribution holds the power to transform their lives with dignity and hope.
